Privacy and Data Use at Palaura
Better AI assistance requires context
Palaura cannot help you effectively without understanding what you need. At the same time, you should not have to give up unnecessary control just to get a useful AI assistant.
That is the balance this product is trying to strike.
What Palaura needs to do well
Useful AI assistance usually depends on context such as:
- what you want to remember
- what you want to be reminded about
- what expenses you want to track
- what lists you want to maintain
- the location you confirm for dating recommendations and your preferred distance
These inputs help Palaura provide accurate and timely responses.
What stays under your control
Privacy is not only about secrecy. It is also about control.
You always have control over:
- what information you share with the AI assistant
- what notes and reminders are stored
- when to delete information you no longer need
- whether to use device location access or choose a dating location by moving the map
The product principle
Palaura is designed to use enough context to be genuinely helpful while collecting only the information necessary to provide its services. We do not use your personal data to train AI models.
In practice, that means the system is built to:
- store only what you ask it to remember
- process messages to understand requests, not to build profiles
- use your confirmed dating location to find and rank candidates within the supported area
- keep your precise dating coordinates out of candidate profiles and AI compatibility prompts
- delete your data when you ask
Mapbox provides the interactive location map. When the map is used, Mapbox may process map viewport, request, interaction, device, and network information under its own privacy terms.
